Oh, Paris

I’ve been dreaming to travel to Paris for a while. And now that I live in southern Germany, located quiet near to the boarder of France I just had to plan my weekend getaway. Just one more day and I will be on my way to Paris. It takes me approximately two and a half hours by train to get there. And as Paris is known to be the city of love – I will meet up with my boyfriend. In fact we made this trip our Christmas present. Now that we are having a long distance relationship, time we can spend together became the most valuable gift we can share.

Paris – J’adore!

Paris makes me think of Macarons, romantic walks through the Jardin Luxembourg, days in bed, french musician á la Edith Piaf, great writer like Hemingway, painter like Matisse and Picasso and fabulous actors like Brigitte Bardot. I like the idea of strolling through the narrow streets of Paris. In one hand my camera in the other one a bag with croissants and pain au chocolate. One of my favorite books “A movable feast” by Hemingway and the movie “Midnight in Paris” directed by Woody Allen arise pleasant anticipation, when thinking about this travel. I am also very excited to stay at the beautiful boutique Hotel Panache. It has been on my wishlist for a while now. I’ll let you know about my experiences.

Packing List – or how to be Parisian?

French women have this specific charisma. Its this nonchalant look that one can’t imitate. It’s their twist of elegance and casuality that emphasizes their style. Or even more – their way of living. I guess my closet still needs an update concerning this challenge. These basics are still on my wishlist.
