Lunchtime in London

If your are looking for a great spot for lunch, get to know the Flat Iron in the quarter of Covent Garden. During our weekend trip to London we popped into this amazing restaurant just besides the St. Paul’s Church. The restaurant is usually fully booked, but lucky us we just had to wait about twenty minutes to get a table. The restaurants decor is delightful and the atmosphere friendly and welcoming.

Flat Iron offers tender meat and salted fries – what else do we need?

A quick look on the menu was enough and I already knew I love this place. Basically you can choose between a main-flat iron steak or a daily special dish. But that’s exactly what I like about the concept. The menu selection is limited, but the well cooked food is very good and nicely presented. The steak (£10) comes with a small salad and with the option to add another side dish, that you order separately. We enjoyed our wine and tender filet steak with some crispy chips and baked aubergine.

Surprisingly some cleaver mini knives were our vouchers for salty caramel ice cream for desert. Put this restaurant on your bucket list and go try it yourself. The Flat Iron is a must if dining in London on a budget.
